Happily Ever After: Mr. Swee Puan Tung & Lovely Wife [18-12-2010]

Now isn't this a familiar scene?

After a number of years I have once again been reunited with the lovely J. Dubya Marriott, Kuala Lumpur, this being the scene of the crime of several events of note in my short but eventful life, including but not limited to my Secondary School (and NOT High School as some of us easily-influenced-by-the-West individuals might think) Prom night, as well as several annual gatherings and celebrations.

This time around, a large portion of the active Salsa Kammunity was present to celebrate with a very well-liked member of the Kammunity, Mr. Swee Puan Tung. The occassion? He got himself hitched! Madam Xiao Sun is her name.

On an unrelated note, it appears that Xiao Sun's old man and my old man are pretty tight. While the salseros were placed at the rear entrance, me old man and old lady were sporting front row seats. Can ya believe it? We were invited to the same wedding separately but we never ran into each other. Blasted Bourgeoisie.

Back to the topic. Hotel was grand. Check. Staff was professional and effective. Check. Food was decent but the grilled codfish stood out heads and shoulders (figuratively speaking) over everything else, everything else tasted like mud. Food came and went at a  comfortable pace, with a salsa performance and a hip-hop performace in between, followed by a really odd dance sequence somewhere towards end. I didn't understand that at all. The lights went off and suddenly, people were prancing left right and centre. What sorcery is this?

I hope you likey the photos. I enjoyed taking them even you didn't like them to spite me. Oh yes, and if you see a photo of yourself that you like and you want a copy, please do not hesitate to stop and ask me.
