Never Gone: Aisha's Back!

Like she was never gone…

After the birth of Prince Azlan, as with all baby geniuses, Salsa Sam and his lovely wife and partner, Aisha, definitely have their hands full. In order to focus on the raising Azlan the best possible way, Aisha has been there for Azlan in those crucial first few months. As we consider ourselves part of the Havana Estudio family, the rest of us help out whatever way we can.

Personally, I’ve waited months to see Aisha back in action. Since the birth of Azlan in February 2011, the only other time I’ve met Aisha face-to-face was during the Havana Estudio 13th Anniversary Party (click here for Part 1 and here for Part 2 of my set of photos). But even then, she attended as a spectator only.

Last Friday, 14th October 2011, was the October 2011 Beginner Social. After the planned workshop, Sam and Aisha were supposed to make a surprise mini-performance, sort of like a teaser of the great things to come. Of course I was there to try to document it all! And you know what the most spectacular thing about all this? Aisha never looked like she took a break. It was like she never left...

Unfortunately, I could not take more photos of the Beginner Social, which was opened to the senior dancers after 10.30 p.m., since I agreed to try out DJ-ing for Sam for the Beginner Social. It was supposed to be a 1-hour slot for the beginners (how bad could that be?) but I ended up spinning the whole night. People were on the floor constantly, until the end of the evening, so I suppose my music selection could not have been that terrible.

Without further adieu, please have a look at my humble pictures, of the amazing Sam & Aisha, in Aisha’s first showcase of 2011!
