A hearty to 'thank-you' to Khalil and Mariam for inviting me to shoot Mariam's very, very lovely baby-shower at the ever-rustic Carcosa Seri Negara. This loving couple, absolute strangers to me until the day itself, actually called me after viewing some of the pictures on my photoblog (thank you Blogspot!).
Walking in there, you can immediately tell that a lot of attention was given to the set-up and preparation of the lounge area which was hosting the tea-time Baby Shower. For the record, tea-time at Carcosa Seri Negara was ridiculously, awesomely, colonial. Of course, the fact the approximately 75% of the guests that afternoon were Caucasian, helped this notion a fair bit.
In the following pictures (posted with permission by the couple + a promise to Mariam that she will look awesome in the pictures), you can see the table with the door gifts as well as the cake (which doubled up as Khalil's Birthday Cake). All-in-all, AMAZING!
Coincidentally, the last 2 Baby Showers I shot actually involved expecting mothers named Mariam. Unbelievable? Believe it!
